Well, if it isn’t our new crew mates! Nice to see you’re eager to learn about the way our ship works! I think it’s always important for every crew member to know even a little about how our ship works. It is their home away from home after all!
So, for this mission let’s get you all clued up on our wonderful ship!!
How to Run
Ask the cubs why an engineer might be important on Board a ship! Explain that the engineers will help to keep the ship running. Have the cubs watch this video which gives them a tour of the ship with our friend Bryan Boyle!
Have the cubs junk model their own boat. Instructions can be found here! https://www.scouts.org.uk/activities/build-a-bottle-boat/

- Scrap paper
- Pens or pencils
- Clean items of recycling
- Craft materials (for example, tissue paper, pipe cleaners, stickers)
- Scissors
- Sticky tape
- Clean, empty plastic bottles
- Marker pens
- Container to hold water
